International Botball Tournament
The Global Conference on Educational Robotics hosts the International Botball Tournament where Botball teams from around the world vie for the International Championship. Any team that competes in a regional tournament regardless of how they finish is encouraged to participate in the International Botball Tournament.
The seeding and double elimination rounds of the International Botball Tournament are free and open to the public. The tournament rounds will take place on the following days:
- Seeding Rounds, July 8: 10:30 am - 5 pm
- Double Elimination Rounds, July 10: 9:30 am - 2 pm
- Double Elimination Finals and Alliance Matches, July 11: 2 pm - 6 pm

Planetarium Field Trip
On Friday, July 9th, enjoy a fun and educational offsite excursion to the James S. McDonnell Planetarium at the St. Louis Science Center! This is an optional conference event and is not included in the regular conference registration fee.
Trip Itinerary
- Board buses at SIUE promptly at 4pm
- Picnic dinner at the St Louis Gateway Arch grounds.
- Star Show at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, featuring the St. Louis night sky without the interference of city lights or pollution
- Return to SIUE before midnight
Register for the Trip
You must register for the trip through the GCER online registration form. Anyone may register for the field trip, even those not registered for the conference (i.e. family members, chaperones, etc are welcome). The cost of the trip is $30 per person and includes a boxed dinner. Seats are limited, so sign up early!
